Yes, it’s that happy holiday season time of year again. Wow, the months go by so fast..!! Well, Merry Christmas everyone and a very happy holiday season to all of you – our clients, suppliers, competitors and to any and everyone connected to American Yacht’s eco-system. All of us here at American Yacht and Absolute Yachting: Tony, Gail, Christina, Susan, Tassos, and of course Luisa our accountant and Jason our legal beagle, all wish you the very best for 2014.
2013 has been a kind of up and down year for the charter industry. One week we would have more inquiries than we could handle – other weeks we were looking at each other and wondering whether the phone would ever ring again. However, on the optimistic side, we are confident that 2014 will, in fact, be a better year economically for all of us.
The weakness of the US dollar has not helped our Mediterranean bookings, but we are also confident that the Fed will be slowly reining in the money supply as part of their overall recovery strategy. This should correct the imbalances and the dollar should strengthen against the Euro after the Fed’s February meeting.
This will make it cheaper for Americans to travel and charter yachts in the Mediterranean again. Hope springs eternal…!!
In the meantime, again, please accept our thanks for your custom and thanks for your patience in putting up with our implacable follow-up system and endless blogs and communications.
HERE’S TO A GREAT AND HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON AND A SUPERB NEW YEAR TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU….!!
